Assam: Kanchanjungha Express introduces new stoppage at Bihara

Guwahati: In a move aimed at enhancing convenience for rail travelers, an additional two-minute stoppage has been introduced for train no. 13176/13175 (Silchar – Sealdah – Silchar) Kanchanjungha Express at Bihara station under the Lumding Division, Assam, of NFR (Northeast Frontier Railway).

Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) representing Silchar, Dr Rajdeep Roy, flagged off the Kanchanjungha Express with the new stoppage at Bihara station on Monday. The event witnessed the presence of senior railway officials from the division and other dignitaries.

Effective immediately, train no. 13176 (Silchar – Sealdah) Kanchanjungha Express will now arrive at Bihara from Silchar at 13:25 hours and depart at 13:27 hours. For train no. 13175 (Sealdah – Silchar) Kanchanjungha Express starting its journey from Sealdah, the train will arrive at Bihara the following day at 12:00 hours and depart at 12:02 hours. This additional stoppage is expected to meet a longstanding demand of the local residents.

The stoppage details and timings for this train are available on the IRCTC website and through NTES (National Train Enquiry System).

Additionally, the information is being disseminated on the social media platforms of N.F. Railway. Passengers have been advised to verify the details before embarking on their journey.
