Ziro: In a significant development, the Ziro police team seized a substantial amount of Rs 59.02 lakh during a random naka checking operation at the Pine Grove area near Ziro, Arunachal Pradesh, on Thursday evening.
The cash haul was confiscated from one Boa Terry, a resident of Boa Simla in Kamle district. The vehicle carrying the seized amount was reportedly en route from Ziro to Kamle district.
The police team, conducting random naka checking at Pine Grove, intercepted a Scorpio vehicle bound for Kamle. Upon searching the vehicle, officers discovered the cash concealed in a grey-colored journey bag.
All legal formalities were meticulously followed during the seizure process in the presence of the executive magistrate.
