BJP candidate for West Tripura and TMP founder Pradyot Debbarman in an event organized by BJP at Simna

Agartala: The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party and its newest ally, Tipra Motha, have commenced a joint campaign for both Lok Sabha seats. Tipra Motha Party founder Pradyot Kishore Debbarman, who had already shared the stage with senior BJP leaders in an internal meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Janajati Morcha on Saturday, attended another meeting organized by the BJP’s Simna Mandal committee.

Apart from him, newly sworn-in Minister Brishaketu Debbarma also remained present at the event where the candidate for West Tripura, Biplab Kumar Deb, addressed party workers. Simna is an ST-reserved constituency under the West Tripura district of Tripura.

The supremo of TIPRA Motha praised former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb for his generous attitude. He said, “When we asked for Rs 22 crore to set up a hospital in the ADC headquarters, he gave Rs 30 crore. The Bru accord could only be possible because of his relentless efforts. I have no hesitation to say that both the candidates who have been chosen by the BJP high command have a passion for doing something for the people of our community.”

Meanwhile, ex-CM Biplab Kumar Deb predicted a record margin victory for both the BJP candidates. “In the past, the trust and voting rights of the indigenous people in the state have been used for political gain, but now on a priority basis, various steps are taken for their socio-economic development. Under the guidance of Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi ji, we are determined to collectively accelerate the overall development of the state.

After seeing the tremendous enthusiasm of our karyakartas in Simna I am confident that BJP will win by a record margin in the upcoming Lok Sabha Election,” said Deb. According to Deb, the Left and Congress alliance is set for an electoral drubbing in the polls.
