Guwahati: In a successful joint operation, forest officials and police from Panbari collaborated to apprehend three poachers on Friday night, following a raid conducted at 2 No. Kadamguri near Manas National Park

The authorities also managed to seize two handmade guns, several weapons, and various parts of wild animals during the operation.

The arrested poachers have been identified as Dhansingh Gyari (25), Ashok Brahma (27), and Bergo Muchahary (40). According to sources, the poachers allegedly entered the national park, where they indiscriminately killed deer and other wild animals, subsequently establishing a significant meat market. 

Further investigation into the matter is currently underway.
