Students who have qualified NEET-UG 2026 can apply for five MBBS Society Seats at Helen Lepcha Sikkim Government Medical College (HLSGMC) in Gangtok for the 2026–27 academic session.
The Government of Sikkim opened the online application process on September 23, with eligible candidates required to submit their applications by September 30 at 12 noon.
The five seats are available under the Society Seat category at the state’s first government medical college.
HLSGMC was established through a joint initiative of the Government of India and the Government of Sikkim, with the broader objective of expanding access to medical education and strengthening healthcare services in the state and the Northeast.
The college is named after Helen Lepcha, also known as Savitri Devi, a freedom fighter born in Sangmoo in South Sikkim in 1902.
The institution’s name commemorates her contribution and legacy of public service.
For candidates interested in applying, the MBBS programme is open to those who have qualified NEET-UG 2026.
