Dr L.P. Sharma, the State Informatics Officer of NIC Sikkim, has been honoured with the prestigious “Hamro Gaurav Award” by Hamro Swabhiman Trust, a branch of Patanjali Yog Peeth, during the annual Teez Festival held at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium on 6th September 2024.
Dr Sharma, a distinguished technology scientist from Sikkim, has been recognised for his exceptional contributions to geospatial technology research and landslide prediction models. His work, which has received international recognition, includes presenting at prominent conferences and publishing research papers in high-impact factor journals. As the State Informatics Officer, Dr Sharma leads a dedicated team providing critical informatics services to state and central government offices in Sikkim.
This award highlights Dr Sharma’s relentless efforts in promoting Sikkim’s tourism and cultural heritage on global platforms. His contributions have earned him numerous accolades over the years, marking him as a prominent figure in the fields of technology and research.
