Guwahati: In a bid to curb the spread of COVID-19, Sikkim government has imposed a total lockdown of one week across the state, effective from July 21 to 27. Also, night curfew has been imposed from 7.30 pm to 6 am.

An order from the home department of Sikkim said all government offices, shops, commercial establishments, institutions, markets and factories shall remain closed, except where a specific exemption is granted.

All activities and movement of persons, goods and passenger vehicles have been restricted, except the following:

However, all educational, training and coaching institutions shall remain closed till August 31.

Sikkim has so far reported 283 cases of COVID-19, of which, 193 are active cases, 90 have been cured and two have migrated to other states.
