Guwahati: In preparation for crucial infrastructure development projects at Rangiya Division in Assam, the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has announced the cancellation and diversion of several train services. These measures are essential for the smooth execution of Pre-Non – Interlocking and Non – Interlocking works at Chaygaon, as well as Non – Interlocking works at Bamunigaon, alongside the Commissioning of a double line between Bamunigaon and Chaygaon.

The scheduled cancellations are as follows:

– Train no. 05020 (Guwahati – Mendipathar) Passenger Special

– Train no. 15602 (Guwahati – Dhubri) Express

– Train no. 15753/15754 (Alipurduar Jn. – Guwahati – Alipurduar Jn.) Sifhung Express

– Train no. 05803/05804 (New Bongaigaon – Guwahati – New Bongaigaon) Passenger Special

– Train no. 05019 (Mendipathar – Guwahati) Passenger Special

– Train no. 15601 (Dhubri – Guwahati) Express

– Train no. 05922 (New Tinsukia – Dhubri) Special

– Train no. 05608 (Guwahati – Mendipathar) Passenger

– Train no. 05921 (Dhubri – New Tinsukia) Special

– Train no. 05607 (Mendipathar – Guwahati) Passenger

These cancellations will be effective from February 24th to March 1st, 2024, affecting passengers traveling on these routes.

Additionally, certain trains will be diverted via alternate routes during this period:

Diverted via Kamakhya – Rangiya – New Bongaigaon:

– Train no. 15668 (Kamakhya – Gandhidham) Express

Diverted via New Bongaigaon – Rangiya – Kamakhya:

– Train no. 12503 (SMVT Bengaluru – Agartala) Express

– Train no. 15619 (Gaya – Kamakhya) Express

– Train no. 15078 (Gomti Nagar – Kamakhya) Express

– Train no. 07030 (Secunderabad – Agartala) Special
