Renowned British adventure brand Defender is set to introduce a new high-performance all-terrain hero in 2024 – the Defender OCTA. The new model promises to be the toughest, most capable, and luxurious Defender ever, pushing the boundaries of the brand’s legacy.

Mark Cameron, Managing Director of Defender, expressed excitement about the upcoming launch, stating that the Defender OCTA would take the brand to new heights with its dramatic stance, innovative technology, and meticulous attention to detail. He emphasized that the vehicle would empower clients to embark on epic adventures in unparalleled luxury.

The Defender OCTA will be powered by a V8 Twin Turbo mild-hybrid petrol engine, delivering exceptional performance across all terrains. The vehicle will also be equipped with class-leading 6D Dynamics air suspension, ensuring supreme comfort and composure on both on-road and off-road journeys.

The 6D Dynamics technology, featuring an innovative pitch and roll control system, will enable the Defender OCTA to maintain a near-level stance during acceleration, braking, and cornering on-road. It also maximizes independent wheel travel and articulation, allowing for optimal performance even on the most demanding off-road terrain.

Reflecting the vehicle’s luxurious credentials, the Defender OCTA derives its name from the octahedron shape of a diamond, symbolizing strength, resilience, and desirability. The new diamond-inspired signature graphic will adorn all future flagship Defender models, making its debut on the Defender OCTA.

The Defender OCTA is currently undergoing rigorous development testing in diverse environments, including the snow and ice of Sweden, the Dubai desert, the Nürburgring tarmac, and the Moab rock crawls. The vehicle is scheduled for a full reveal later this year, with exclusive previews offered to prospective clients as part of the Defender Elements series.
