Manipal Institute of Technology to Host Solar Electric Vehicle Championship 2024

Manipal, March 26, 2024: The Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), a premier institution for engineering education, will host the Solar Electric Vehicle Championship (SEVC) 2024 in collaboration with Coimbatore Society of Racing Minds (CSRM). The event will be held from March 27 to 31, 2024, on the scenic Manipal campus.

The championship aims to promote innovation in sustainable transportation by providing a platform for engineering enthusiasts, innovators, and students from across the nation to showcase their skills in designing and constructing solar-powered electric vehicles. Participants will engage in exhilarating competitions, demonstrating the culmination of their hard work, creativity, and dedication.

A total of 31 teams from across India have registered for SEVC, with 14 teams qualifying for the final dynamic round. The event is expected to witness the participation of over 450 individuals from various parts of the country.

The SEVC 2024 not only promotes healthy competition but also encourages collaboration and knowledge exchange among participants, industry experts, and academia.
