Kohima: The 11th session of the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA), which is the last budget session of the present assembly, began on Saturday in Kohima. The session will continue till March 25.
Addressing the state Assembly for the first time, Nagaland Governor Jagdish Mukhi lauded the members for forming the government under the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) to pursue the Naga political issue.
The Governor said that the creation of the opposition-less government has presented itself as the one of the “most beautiful illustration” with all legislators putting the interest and welfare of the people and the state above anything else.
Mukhi also praised the house for positively deliberating on all matters of public interest, which according to him reflects the collective wish of the people.
Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio took to twitter saying, “The eleventh session of the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly begins today. Looking forward to a productive Assembly Session over the next few days.”
The CM who holds the finance portfolio will present the Budget of 2022-23 on February 22. The session is also the first budget session of the opposition-less government.
