Aizawl: Mizoram reported seven more deaths due to Covid-19 infection and 443 new positive cases on Monday, pushing the state’s Covid-19 tally to 98,175, while the death toll has increased to 326, a health department official said.
The single-day positive rate was 28.97 per cent as the fresh cases were detected from 1,529 sample tests, he said.
At least 107 children were among the newly infected people, he said.
The number of actives cases now stands at 4,726. At least 538 people have recovered on Monday till 5 pm, pushing the total recovery to 83,123. The recovery rate among Covid-19 patients is 84.66 per cent, while the death rate is 0.33 per cent.
The state has so far conducted more than 11.21 lakh samples tests for Covid-19.
Over 6.82 lakh people have been vaccinated till Monday, of which 4.51 lakh people have received full doses, state immunisation officer Dr. Lalzawmi said.
