Kohima: Four cadres of the NSCN-K (Khango) group were arrested by the Assam Rifles and the Nagaland police in a joint operation in Longleng.
The four cadres were identified as self-styled (SS) major Chinonyi Konyak, SS private Shamli Konyak, SS private Nyakpa Konyak and SS private Engo Konyak.
PRO IGAR (N) informed that the cadres of the NSCN-K (Khango) were arrested on Monday based on specific inputs. Extortion slips along with a cash amount of Rs 50,000 were recovered from the arrested persons.
The arrested cadres along with the recovered items have been handed over to Longleng Police station for further investigation.
