Merely two days after internet was hailed for helping an elderly couple in Delhi, it has fallen to an all-time low. This time it’s not about trolling a star, but giving rape threats to Ziva, 5-year-old daughter of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni.
According to reports, such threats were first made on Dhoni’s wife Sakshi’s Instagram account after CSK lost to Kolkata Knight Riders on Wednesday.
CSK has not been performing well during IPL, and several ‘fans’ thought it would be reasonable to hold Ziva accountable for her father’s team’s performance, and spew toxicity about the child.
While trolling cricketers, their wives and girlfriends is commonly observed, targeting their children with such hate is disturbing.
Meanwhile, netizens have called out such comments and come out in support of the child. They have also asked authorities to take action users who posted such comments.

Former India all-rounder Irfan Pathan also took to Twitter to slam the mentality of such people. He wrote, “All the players giving their best, sometimes it just doesn’t work but it’s doesn’t give anyone any authority to give a threat to a young child #mentality #respect”.
