In a massive boost for Arunachal Pradesh government’s efforts to build an investor friendly environment in the northeastern state, it ranked 29 in the national State Business Reform Action Plan 2018-19 – the ‘Ease of Doing Business’ annual rankings published by the government of India on Saturday.
Arunachal Pradesh jumped 5 spots since 2017-18 rankings, where it had ranked 34th. Andhra Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh retained the first and second positions while Telangana slipped-from second to third position in the Ease of Doing Business ranking for 2018-19.
Arunachal Pradesh has also become one of the top 10 improvers in Ease of Doing Business since 2015.
