Shillong: A 15-year-old boy was killed in a road mishap opposite Reserve Bank of India office in Meghalaya’s Shillong on Wednesday.
According to the police, the victim — identified as Kiran Sinha — was a resident of Jylli Shop, Nongthymmai. Sinha died on the spot due to head injury, said reports.
The police informed that the victim was not wearing a helmet.
The scooty that the deceased was riding collided with a mini-truck around 7 am, said reports, and the police got the information at 7.10 am, said officials.
The mini-truck driver managed to flee the spot, leaving his vehicle behind. The police have seized the truck and further investigation is being carried out.
