Guwahati: A British artist named Sacha Jafri has been making a record-breaking piece of art at Atlantis, The Palm in Dubai. The art titled ‘The journey of humanity’ is aimed to connect over one billion people from all around the world.

The artist posted on Instagram a few sections of the 1,800-sq-m painting and his caption of the post explained that once his piece of art is finished, he will split it into 60 smaller panels which will then be individually named, numbered, catalogoued and framed.

The organisation aims to raise over $30 million from the sale of 60 pieces of the art at the Royal Gala Dinner & Charity Auction in December. The fund raised in the auction will be used to help out children of the poorest areas in need.
