Kohima: With 87 more people testing positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday, the total number of COVID-19 cases in Nagaland spiked to 3,118.
Out of the new COVID-19 cases, 48 are from Dimapur, 35 from Kohima, three from Zunheboto and one from Wokha. The new COVID-19 cases were reported out of 614 samples that were tested.
With the addition of the new cases, Dimapur has recorded a total of 1,659 COVID-19 cases out of which 1,311 are current active. Kohima has recorded a total of 745 total cases of which 553 are active cases. With a total of 76 confirmed cases, Zunheboto has 62 active cases. Wokha has reported a total of 17 confirmed cases of which nine are currently active.

Nagaland health minister S Pangnyu Phom informed that neceassary contact tracing has been activated for the new detected cases. Taking to Twitter, the minister wrote: “Update!

On Tuesday, 12 COVID-19 patients from Kohima district recovered taking the number of recovered cases to 985.
