Guwahati: Amid the present gloom surrounding COVID-19 across the state, some great news from the Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital where a three-month-old baby and his mother were discharged after defeating the virus on Sunday. It was a triumphant time for everyone at the hospital, as they bid goodbye to the duo.
Before leaving, the three-month-old baby and mother were felicitated in a programme organised in the hospital premises.

Doctors and other staff members of the hospital exchanged pleasantries and sweet memories during their stay in the hospital. In return, the mother of the baby also thanked everyone in the hospital for their dedicated and sincere service.

Meanwhile, minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has announced that altogether 985 patients were discharged from hospital on Sunday.
In his Twitter, the minister said, “985 patients have been discharged today. Large number of patients going back home everyday is an outcome of great efforts being put by our doctors. Gratitude!
