Kohima: With the increasing number of confirmed cases of COVID-19, Nagaland’s tally is nearing the 900-mark as 33 more persons tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday. The addition of the 33 fresh cases has spiked the tally to 878.
Out of the 33 cases that were detected on Tuesday, 24 are from Kohima, three from Dimapur, two from Peren, two from Longleng, one from Mokokchung and one from Zunheboto.
Shanavas C, nodal offcier for COVID-19 related activities outside the state, informed that out of the new cases, 17 are from the military quarantine centre at Jakhama and one is a personnel of the CRPF.
As of 9: 50 am on Tuesday, the state’s tally is at 878, out of which 538 are active cases and 340 are recovered cases.
