Guwahati: Assam recorded two more coronavirus-related deaths on Thursday, taking the COVID-19 related fatality in the state to 14, informed health minister Himanata Biswa Sarma.
The deceased persons have been identified as Prabhudayal Bidawatka (78) and Subhash Kalita (56); both with comorbidity had succumbed to COVID-19.
Offering condolence to the aggrieved families, Sarma tweeted, “With heavy heart, I share this with you all ~ We’ve lost two precious lives to the pandemic.
Late Prabhudayal Vidawatka (78) & Late Subhash Kalita (56), with comorbidities succumbed to #COVID19.
My prayers and condolences are with Vidawatka and Kalita families.”

As per the latest updates, Assam has so far reported 8,955 cases, of which 3,107 are active, 5,831 have been discharged, 14 deaths and 3 migrated to other states.
