“Chief Secretary, Assam has informed that no relaxation of ongoing lockdown has yet been decided by the Govt of Assam like opening of shops, beauty parlours etc. A decision in this regard will be taken only on 27 April 2020,” said a tweet by DIPR Assam.
Total COVID-19 cases soar to 24,506 in India
The total number of coronavirus cases in India reached 24,506 on Saturday (April 25), as of 8 am, with the death toll standing at 775.
According to the latest updates provided by the Union health ministry, there are 18,668 active cases with 775 deaths so far in the country. As many as 5,062 patients have been cured or discharged and one has migrated.
