Siliguri: A white sheet of hail draped the town of Siliguri in north Bengal as the entire town witnessed an unprecedented bout of hailstorm on Friday morning. The hilly areas of the region experienced snowfall, which resulted in a sudden drop in temperatures in the base of the Himalayas.

The minimum temperature dropped to 6.7 degrees Celsius in the town on Friday, said reports.
