Imphal: Sylvia Adaphro, a mother of three from Manipur, was named ‘Mrs Asia Pacific Special Queen Award 2019 Ambassador’ and ‘Mrs Asia Pacific 2019 Supermodel’ at the recently concluded ‘Mrs Asia Pacific 2019’ beauty pageant held in Singapore and Malaysia.
Representing India, Adaphro competed with 27 other contestants from around the world to shine at the event. Earlier, Adaphro was crowned ‘the Popular Queen of Universe 2019’ and ‘Mrs India Asia Pacific Intercontinental 2019’ held in Mumbai.
Married at the early age of 17 years, Adaphro had a dream of becoming a beauty queen and work for women empowerment. She finally inched towards her goal when she tried her luck at the ‘Innovative Artist Welfare Association (IAWA) Mrs India Manipur’ in 2017. After winning the crown, she went on to win the ‘1st runners-up’ title at the Mrs IAWA India 2017 in Mumbai along with two other subsidiary titles — ‘Mrs Best Smile’ and ‘Mrs Catwalk’. Since then, there has been no turning back.
