Guwahati: Imagine, you order a branded premium watch online, but, what you get is a face toner. This is what happened to a youth from Assam.
Nitish Das, a shopkeeper hailing from Assam’s Pathshala town, ordered a premium Fossil wristwatch worth Rs. 6,996 from Myntra – one of India’s leading fashion e-commerce companies, but what he allegedly got was a face toner worth Rs. 175.
Das got a shock of his life as he had already paid for the international designer watch using online banking facilities.
Narrating his ordeal Das said, “I had ordered a Fossil watch, and soon after receiving the sealed packet I opened it and saw that there was no watch except for one face toner.”
Das, meanwhile, has registered a complaint with Myntra and demanded a reimbursement for the money he paid. In a response from the e-commerce website, Das has been asked to wait for 72 hours, until the issue is resolved.
