Shivangi Desai, a 22-year-old final-year law student at the Indian Law School (ILS) Pune, has been crowned Miss Charm India 2024. The national pageant, organized by the Glamanand Group, led by visionary founder Mr. Nikhil Anand, saw Desai triumph over other contestants, earning her the opportunity to represent India at the international Miss Charm 2024 competition in Vietnam this December.
Shivangi, daughter of an Indian Naval Officer and a doctor, expressed her pride in achieving the title, stating, “This triumph not only brings immense pride to my parents but also shines as a beacon of inspiration for my hometown of Pune and beyond.” Her journey in the pageant world began at the age of 16 when she won the May Queen title at the RSI Army Institute in Pune. This early success propelled her to pursue other titles, including Miss Teen India North at Miss Teen Diva, Miss NDA, and 1st Runner-Up at Miss Universe Gujarat.
Desai’s preparation for Miss Charm India 2024 was led by Ms. Ritika Ramtri, esteemed Pageant Coach at The Tiara, and supported by Glamanand Supermodel India. This preparation honed her talents and positioned her for victory.
Desai’s well-roundedness extends beyond her pageant experience. Having lived in ten different schools across India due to her father’s transferable job, she credits her upbringing with instilling in her a spirit of adaptability and discipline. In addition to her modeling career, Desai is passionate about promoting India’s heritage. She has authored a book titled “Beyond the Usual,” which highlights hidden tourism gems within the country. This passion for tourism and culture aligns with her role as an international ambassador for India.
Desai’s academic achievements are also noteworthy. She’s won state and national moot court competitions, authored research papers, and completed prestigious internships with top firms like Trilegal and Khaitan & Co. Her ambition extends to her career goals, as she aspires to become a leading Fashion, Sports, and Entertainment lawyer.
