Guwahati: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has penned an open letter to the citizens of the country, urging for Janbhagidari (Public Participation) in his efforts towards building a Viksit Bharat (Developed India). Addressing the nation as “dear family members,” the Prime Minister appealed for suggestions, ideas, and support for the future course of action.
“The essence of democracy lies in Janbhagidari or public participation. It is your backing that empowers me to make bold decisions for the nation’s welfare, formulate ambitious plans, and execute them effectively. I seek and eagerly anticipate your ideas, recommendations, and support as we strive to realize the goal of constructing a developed India. I am confident that together, we will continue to elevate our nation to greater heights,” the letter states.
Prime Minister Modi also emphasized the achievements of the current government, citing the unwavering support of the public as a motivating factor for his decisive actions.
“Your trust and support have enabled us to make numerous historic and significant decisions, such as the implementation of GST, revocation of Article 370, enactment of a new law on Triple Talaq, the Nari Shakti Vandan Act to enhance women’s participation in Parliament, the inauguration of a new Parliament building, and robust measures against terrorism and Left-Wing Extremism,” the letter reads.
He also highlighted the transformative impact of government schemes on people’s lives.
“Our partnership is on the brink of completing a decade. The trust and support of 140 crore Indians inspire and propel me. The transformation witnessed in people’s lives stands as the greatest achievement of our government in the last 10 years. These transformative outcomes are the result of the sincere endeavors of a resolute government to enhance the quality of life for the poor, farmers, youth, and women. Achievements such as providing pucca houses through the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, ensuring access to electricity, water, and LPG for all, offering free medical treatments through Ayushman Bharat, extending financial assistance to farmers, and supporting women through schemes like Matru Vandana Yojana, have only been possible due to the trust reposed in me by you,” he added.
The letter concludes with the Prime Minister extending his best wishes to the countrymen.
