Dimapur-based design studio TRIBOLT has received the AD New Wave Award, a recognition presented by Architectural Digest India to emerging designers and creative practices across the Indian subcontinent.
According to the studio, the AD New Wave programme recognises 25 emerging designers, studios and practices whose work reflects originality, innovation and a distinct design vision.
TRIBOLT said the recognition marks a milestone for the studio and highlights creative work emerging from Northeast India.
“We are deeply honored to receive the AD New Wave Award. This recognition is incredibly encouraging for our team and our collaborators, and it inspires us to continue pushing creative boundaries while staying rooted in thoughtful design,” co-founders Ajung Yaden and Atem Longkumer said in a statement.
Since its inception, the studio has worked across furniture, objects and interior projects. Its work combines traditional Naga wood carving techniques and tools with contemporary furniture design.
The studio stated that its design approach focuses on comfort, ergonomics and functionality for modern homes while presenting what it describes as “NAGA CONTEMPORARY” in furniture design.
TRIBOLT added that its projects have drawn attention for balancing craftsmanship, contemporary aesthetics and contextual sensitivity.
