Kohima/Guwahati: Dr. K. K. Jha, Professor in the Department of Agricultural Extension Education at Nagaland University, has been conferred the prestigious ISEE Fellow Award 2026–27 in recognition of his outstanding contributions to Extension Education and professional service.
The honour was bestowed by the Indian Society of Extension Education during the ISEE National Seminar on “Digital Technologies for Sustainable Food Systems and Atmanirbhar Bharat”, held in Goa from January 29 to 31, 2026.
Dr. Jha is currently serving as Vice-President of ISEE and brings decades of academic and professional experience in Agricultural Extension, Technology Transfer, Agro-ecological Studies, Impact Assessment of Development Programmes, Entrepreneurship Development, and Sustainability of Farming Systems.
Congratulating Dr. Jha, Vice-Chancellor Prof. J. K. Patnaik said the award reflects his exceptional scholarship, leadership, and commitment to national development through education. He noted that the university takes immense pride in Dr. Jha’s achievements and wished him continued success in his future endeavours.
The ISEE Fellow Award is among the highest recognitions in the field of extension education in India and is granted to individuals who have made sustained and impactful contributions to research, teaching, and professional service.
The recognition highlights Dr. Jha’s significant role in advancing extension education, promoting sustainable agricultural practices, and strengthening the interface between research institutions, policy frameworks, and grassroots farming communities across the country.
