Nagaland: Massive landslide blocks NEC road between Jotsoma-Khonoma

Kohima: A massive landslide has completely blocked the North East Council (NEC) road between Jotsoma and Khonoma, disrupting travel and cutting off a key route between the two villages. The landslide occurred near the Dzüna Bridge, the largest stream in the area.

Travelers were left with no choice but to use an alternate route through Mezoma village, which is currently the only accessible path for those heading to Dimapur.

The affected road, maintained by BRO GREF under NEC funding, leads to Benreu in Peren district. The landslide was reported during the wee hours on Friday.

No casualties have been reported. However, the landslide has caused significant inconvenience to the residents of the affected areas.
