Aizawl: According to O Heraldo, a Goa-based newspaper, a Sessions Court in Margao has granted bail to Olivia Lalchawimawii, a woman from Mizoram, in a commercial quantity drug case after she was allegedly caught carrying cocaine worth Rs 33 lakh at Dabolim Airport.
The original arrest was made on March 25, 2026, at the Customs Office at Goa International Airport, where Olivia was apprehended by officials of the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence in connection with an offence under the NDPS Act. She was represented in the Sessions Court by Advocate Ashwin Dalvi.
However, despite securing bail in the narcotics case, Olivia was subsequently arrested again by Dabolim Police Station in connection with another alleged offence, O Heraldo reported.
According to Goa news sources, the boarding pass in the name of Lallawmzuali was the one she had allegedly used to travel to Goa. During the DRI inquiry following her arrest, she allegedly continued to identify herself using that name and produced an Aadhaar card and boarding pass bearing it, instead of disclosing her actual identity. Authorities reportedly discovered the discrepancy after verifying the documents she had submitted.
The impersonation case was registered under Section 319(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Her lawyer said a bail application in that case is yet to be filed before the court.
