Aizawl: In a significant crackdown, Assam Rifles, in collaboration with state agencies, seized drugs worth Rs 1.833 crores in two separate operations conducted on August 3 and August 5, 2024.
The joint efforts led to the recovery of 476.40 grams of marijuana and 258.76 grams of Heroin No. 4.
The operations, which were based on targeted intelligence gathering and continuous surveillance of suspected peddlers, resulted in the apprehension of two individuals. The suspects, residents of Vaipuh-III and New Colony, Siaha, were detained during special Area Domination Patrols.
