Shillong: The 35th JK Architect of the Year Awards, organised by JK Cement Ltd, will be held in Shillong on 13 and 14 March 2026, bringing together leading architects, students and industry professionals for a jury meeting and exhibition of shortlisted entries.

The two-day event will feature an exhibition of competing designs across 13 award categories, showcasing projects from architects across India and abroad. Eminent architects will convene in Shillong to evaluate the submissions and select the winners.

Architecture students from colleges in and around the region will have the opportunity to view the exhibited works, offering exposure to contemporary design practices and innovations in the field.

The winners will be announced at a ceremony on 14 March, which is expected to be attended by government officials, local architects and representatives from the construction industry.

Organisers said the awards aim to recognise excellence in architecture while fostering dialogue and collaboration within the profession. The event is regarded as a significant fixture in the national architecture calendar.
