Imphal: At least three individuals have been detained in connection with the recent ambush on security forces in Manipur’s Ukhrul district, police said on Tuesday.
According to a police official, an intelligence-based operation was launched in the TM Kasom, Litan and Sikibung areas to apprehend those allegedly involved in the ambush on security personnel that took place in Ukhrul district on July 6, 2026.
During the operation, three persons were detained. Police did not disclose their identities or provide further details on the progress of the investigation.
Meanwhile, police said normalcy continues to prevail in the region, with farming activities continuing unhindered, shops remaining open, and regulated traffic movement along National Highway-202 proceeding as scheduled.
