Imphal: Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh has expressed deep anguish over the killing of Chunjanglung Panmei (58), a resident of Pongringlong Part-I, a Rongmei Naga village in Kangpokpi district.
Panmei, son of late Kamuga Panmei, was killed on Monday morning.
Strongly condemning the incident, the Chief Minister described it as a heinous and cowardly act of violence against an innocent civilian.
He said the state police and central paramilitary forces were conducting operations to apprehend those responsible and bring them to justice under the rule of law.
