Imphal: In a huge setback for the Naga People’s Front party, former MP Dr Lorho S Pfoze has tendered his resignation from the primary and active membership of the NPF, citing personal reasons.
In his resignation letter addressed to NPF president Apong Pongener, former MP Dr Lorho stated that the decision has not been easy for him to take.
“This decision has not been easy for me to make. I appreciate the opportunities the Naga People’s Front had given me to serve in various capacities as an active member,” he stated.
However, due to personal reasons, it has become necessary for me to resign from the party, he added.
When EastMojo reached out to him, the former MP said, “If there is a relevant space, I am open to joining another political party.”
Dr Lorho, a 65-year-old medical doctor-turned-politician from the Mao community, was elected as a Member of the Lok Sabha in Outer Manipur in 2019.
