Imphal: In its efforts to provide relief measures to local communities, the Indian Army extended its assistance to repair the road in Phougakchao Ikhai Awang Lekhai in Bishnupur district of Manipur, said an official.
The road which is a vital link connecting Phougakchao Awang Lekhai to National Highway 2 has been damaged due to heavy rains during the past month.
The villagers sought the assistance of the Army. Responding promptly, the Army collaborated with the locals, providing repair assistance and resources. The joint effort ensured the restoration of safe and accessible routes for the community. It said the repair work was completed in two days.
