Kohima: In a joint operation, the Indian Army and the Manipur Police recovered a huge arms cache in Sadar Joute and T Mongbung villages in Kangpokpi District.

According to the PRO Defence Manipur, the operation was launched based on specific intelligence regarding the presence of a huge cache of arms, ammunition and war-like stores hidden in the area.

During the operation, the security forces recovered a significant arsenal, including a 9mm carbine, a country-made mortar, a 9mm pistol, a country-made GI pipe Pompi gun, a grenade, along with ammunition, explosives, and other war-like materials.
The recovered items were handed over to the police for further investigation and appropriate action.
