Imphal: More than hundred vehicles were stranded along the National Highway 202 A on the Imphal-Ukhrul road on Friday evening after incessant rains and mudslides along the route where the ongoing double lane highway expansion work is going on.
Most of the vehicles were seen stuck between Litan and TM Kasom village following incessant rainfall in most parts of Manipur.
Those passengers who were traveling in public transport were compelled to get down from the vehicles and walk till the vehicle managed to reach a safer spot.
The National highway workers tried to clear the mudslide with machines, but the work was slow because of the many vehicles that were stranded in the middle of the road.
