Shillong: Tarun Bhartiya’s photographic exhibition, Em No Nahi, documenting the resistance against uranium mining led by Kong Spillity Lyngdoh Langrin, has returned to Shillong after its debut at the National Photo Exhibition in Ahmedabad in January 2025.

The exhibition was inaugurated at the Williamson Sangma State Museum Gallery in IGP, where it will remain open to visitors until January-February 2027.

Kong Spillity’s son, Bah Phrijun, and great-grandson, Bankitbok, inaugurated the exhibition and participated in a discussion moderated by Ibankyntiew Mawrie.

Through his photographs, Bhartiya documents Kong Spillity’s resistance to uranium mining, capturing a significant chapter in the region’s opposition to the proposed project.

The exhibition is open to the public, offering visitors an opportunity to explore the movement and its history through photographs and personal accounts.
