Kohima: The Department of English, Nagaland University, Kohima Campus, conducted an Orientation Programme for the NET Coaching in English for the 2025–26 session on Monday. The programme was led by Prof. Suresh Kurapati, Coordinator of the NET Coaching Centre.

A total of 45 students from the M.A. (English) 3rd Semester participated in the orientation. The coaching sessions will be held twice a week throughout the academic session, with all faculty members of the Department of English contributing to the programme.

In addition, interested teachers from other departments of the University will assist in teaching Paper I, while Ph.D. scholars from the Department will also extend their cooperation and support.

During the inaugural session, all faculty members of the Department addressed the students, highlighting the importance of NET Coaching and encouraging them to make the most of the opportunity.

The initiative has received an enthusiastic response from the students. Notably, 31 scholars from the Department of English qualified for the NET examination during the 2024–25 session.
