Kohima: The Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) on Monday welcomed two prominent BJP leaders into its fold — Vitoka Tsuqu, Vice President of the BJP’s 9th Kohima Town Assembly Constituency unit, and Hovili Aye, President of the Mahila Morcha of the same constituency unit.
The new entrants were received with a warm reception by Congress party workers in Kohima. Present at the welcoming event were MP and NPCC President S. Supongmeren Jamir, NPCC Working Presidents Khriedi Theunuo and Apok Jamir, as well as representatives from the Kohima District Congress Committee and the 9th Kohima Town Assembly Constituency Congress Committee.
The NPCC expressed confidence that both Tsuqu and Aye, known for their grassroots experience and active involvement in local politics, will play a key role in strengthening the Congress party’s presence in Nagaland.
The party said their addition would contribute to the broader goal of promoting inclusive development and social justice in the state.
Welcoming them into the Congress family, party leaders reiterated their commitment to upholding the values and principles of the Indian National Congress while working for the welfare of the people of Nagaland.
