The University of Science and Technology Meghalaya (USTM) has successfully organized the annual ‘Kairos 2024’ student event. The event, which was held from September 20 to 21, 2024, saw participation from students from different undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
The ‘Kairos 2024’ event showcased the talents of students from Gauhati University, Assam Don Bosco University, Assam Engineering College, Cotton University, B. Baruah College, Handique Girls College, K.C Das Commerce College, Royal Global University, NERIM, Sonapur College, Tezpur University, Dibrugarh University, and other esteemed institutions. The event was marked by a series of thrilling competitions and a gala performance by the renowned band Junoon.
Some of the highlights of the event include the Melodia and Groove Nation dance performances, which captivated the audience, as well as the Color Craze and Character Clashes cosplay contests. The event also saw the rollout of a tech-savvy coding competition by the Department of Computer Science, which was a huge hit with students.
Beyond the academic realm, the event also offered an opportunity for students to participate in various recreational and sports activities. The competition included an Arm-Wrestling Championship, Gully Cricket, and a Photography contest named Picture Perfect. Gaming fans were also entertained with competitive gaming events like Mobile Legends Bang Bang and BGMI.
