Donald Sutherland, one of Canada’s most versatile and talented actors, renowned for his performances in films such as “MAS*H,” “Klute,” “Ordinary People,” and the “Hunger Games” series, has died at the age of 88.
The esteemed Canadian actor’s career spanned from the 1960s through to the 2020s. His death was announced by his son, actor Kiefer Sutherland, on social media, revealing that Sutherland passed away on Thursday.
Standing tall with a deep voice, piercing blue eyes, and a mischievous smile, Sutherland seamlessly transitioned from character roles to romantic leads, sharing the screen with luminaries like Jane Fonda and Julie Christie. His career, which began in the 1960s, saw him portray a variety of oddballs and villains, showcasing his remarkable range and depth as an actor.
