Guwahati: The Assam Royal Global University (RGU) was honoured with the title of “Most Eminent Private University of North East” at the Education Eminence Awards 2025. The award was presented by News18 Assam North East in association with the Lions Club.
The felicitation ceremony, held yesterday in Guwahati, was graced by Pijush Hazarika, Minister of Information, Public Relations, Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of Assam, and Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Rana Pratap Kalita, who jointly handed over the award. Dr. Rani Pathak Das, Public Relations Officer of RGU, received the award on behalf of the university, in the presence of eminent dignitaries, educationists, and invited guests.
Commenting on the recognition, Chancellor Dr. A.K. Pansari said,
“We are committed to nurturing well-rounded, industry-ready individuals equipped for leadership roles in a rapidly evolving world. RGU is proud to be recognized for our world-class infrastructure, expert faculty, dynamic cultural and academic environment, and strong campus recruitment programmes.”
He further emphasised RGU’s dedication to supporting academic excellence and inclusivity through its scholarship programmes—including on-admission merit scholarships, monthly scholarships for semester toppers, scholarships for economically weaker sections (EWS), and students from underprivileged communities across the Northeast.
Expressing gratitude, Dr. Rani Pathak Das shared, “This honour is a tribute to our faculty, administrative teams, industrious students, and stakeholders who work relentlessly to make RGU a nurturing space for future leaders and changemakers. It reaffirms our commitment to offering top-tier educational opportunities that help stem the educational exodus from the region.”
