Minister for Power, Cooperation, Mines, Minerals, Indigenous and Tribal Faith and Culture, Nandita Garlosa, launched the University Museum’s Coffee Table Book on the Royal Global University campus.
During her address, Ms. Garlosa emphasized the significance of heritage awareness, conservation, and preservation, highlighting the value of organic artifacts. She commended the student contributors for their hard work on the book, which she noted showcased the systematic evolution of civilization from agrarian to industrial societies.
The Minister also highlighted government initiatives at both the central and state levels aimed at encouraging youth participation in various fields, including sports and education, through programs like Khel Maharan. She urged students to believe in themselves and pursue their dreams, also encouraging them to visit local World Heritage Sites like the Charaideo Moidam and appreciate the legacy of North East India.
Ms. Garlosa praised the youth of Manipur for their active participation in national and international sporting events, encouraging others to follow their lead. She also stressed the need to ensure the rich heritage and history of the Northeast is represented in academic textbooks.
