In a concerning turn of events, two separate missing incidents have come to light in Assam, raising alarm among the local community. The first case involves a female patient who mysteriously vanished from the Tezpur Medical College and Hospital (TMCH) in the Sonitpur district.
Identified as Phulmaya Subba, a resident of Bhalukpong, the patient was reported missing since 5 am on March 31. According to sources, she had been admitted to the TMCH five days prior to her disappearance.
Adding to the distress, the hospital authorities have revealed that all the CCTV cameras placed at the main entrance of the facility are currently non-functional, further complicating the search efforts.
In another similar incident, a 15-year-old boy named Sandipan Tanti has been missing since Friday afternoon. A resident of Dhoedaam Tea Estate under the Doomdooma police station in Tinsukia district, Sandipan left his home to play with three friends at around 1 pm on the fateful day.
However, when his family members noticed his absence until the evening, they initiated a frantic search. Upon questioning the three companions who were supposed to be playing with Sandipan, it was discovered that they had gone to a different location, leaving him behind.
The Doomdooma police have since launched a search operation to locate Sandipan, but he remains untraced as of the time of this report. It is worth noting that Sandipan, a student at Don Bosco High School in Doomdooma, had recently been promoted from class VIII to class IX.
