The Northeast India Petroleum Dealers’ Association has deferred the proposed petrol strike in Assam, scheduled to start on Saturday, on condition of certain conditions being met.
The association had demanded a revision of the dealers’ commission, which has been pending since 2017, as part of the demands.
It said in a statement on Friday that the strike has been deferred from 5 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday and that it will hold further talks with oil companies on resolving the issues.
