Guwahati: Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to arrived at the poll-bound  Assam on April 6 in light of the impending Lok Sabha elections. He is set to engage in public gatherings in the districts of Lakhimpur and Hojai.

Assam Chief Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma, announced on a Tuesday that Amit Shah is expected to arrive in Guwahati on April 6. He further mentioned that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP’s national president, JP Nadda, are also anticipated to visit Assam shortly.

On March 28, a significant meeting took place at the BJP headquarters in Guwahati with CM Sarma chairing discussions centered around Lok Sabha election strategies. Sources imply that the meeting aimed to fine-tune the details for Amit Shah’s upcoming visit.

CM Sarma also shared that the state government has extended invitations to PM Modi to lead rallies in Kokrajhar and Nalbari. Although the invites have been sent, PM Modi’s schedule remains unconfirmed.
