Guwahati: Senior Indian Information Service officer, Maushumi Chakravarty, is set to assume the charge of Director General of the News Services Division at Akashvani News in New Delhi.
Hailing from Assam, Chakravarty brings a wealth of experience to her new position, having served in various capacities under the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting.
With the impending retirement of the current Principal Director General, Chakravarty’s appointment marks a significant development in the public broadcast sector.
Currently serving as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) at the News Services Division of Akashvani News in New Delhi, her elevation underscores her dedication and competence in the field.
Chakravarty’s journey to this prestigious position reflects her steadfast commitment to excellence. Earlier, she had served in a diverse range of roles within the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting.
